The DEIB Committee was formed to answer concerns from our members regarding the nature of diversity, equity and inclusion with NACNS. We administered a survey to our members which provided insight into their thoughts about DEI within the organization and gave us a starting place on which to build our mission statement. We are recommending training, soliciting diverse members, expanding awareness to CNSs who work outside the hospital and collaborating with other NACNS committees for dissemination

The Graduate Education Committee shall provide guidance to the NACNS Board of Directors on key issues impacting graduate programs, faculty, students and national accrediting and credentialing bodies. This committee shall ensure that current data related to the preparation of CNSs are obtained and disseminated and shall provide multiple forums for CNS educators to address issues pertinent to CNS education.

The Legislative/Regulatory Committee shall represent NACNS and respond to individual members, state and federal legislators, other professional associations and boards of nursing on national and state issues, which affect recognition, reimbursement, and practice of CNSs.

The Nominating Committee shall review the qualifications of all applicants and prepare a proposed slate for review and final approval by the Board of Directors.
