Description: This one hour webinar will offer a brief overview of practical and evidence based interventions for pain assessment in the non verbal adult patient. A case study approach will be used and participants will be able to ask the speaker questions during the live presentation or via email if viewing the recorded webinar.

Speaker: Jeannette (Jeannie) Meyer, RN, MSN, CCRN-K, CCNS, PCCN-K, ACHPN

Jeannie Meyer started her healthcare career as a Nurse’s Aide doing long-term care, then as a LVN in Critical Care. She obtained her BSN and MSN from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and has been a Clinical Nurse Specialist since 2000. She holds national certifications in Critical Care, Progressive Care and Palliative Care. She has presented at the state and national levels on multiple Palliative Care topics, including presentations for NACNS and AACN. Jeannie is currently the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care at UCLA Health, Past President of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses’ Association Los Angeles Regional Chapter (HPNA-LARC) and Past President of the California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CACNS). She currently serves on the Board of Directors for NACNS.
