CNSI is asking you to consider donating in tribute to Brenda L. Lyon, nurse leader, nurse educator, nurse researcher, and clinical nurse specialist par excellence. To recognize her lifelong outstanding contributions to promote the visibility and value CNSs bring to those who are suffering from complex illnesses. These funds will be used to establish an award honoring Dr. Lyon’s work and supporting the activities of CNSs.

Katie Brush Critical Care CNS Scholarship » Donate Online

Katie Brush Critical Care CNS Scholarship fund is named after one of our NACNS board members, and strong CNS advocate, who suddenly passed in 2007. Kathryn (Katie) Brush was a critical care clinical nurse specialist for over 10 years at Massachusetts General. The Katie Brush Critical Care CNS Scholarship will award up to $2,000 to Critical Care CNS students. The Katie Brush Critical Care CNS Scholarship is awarded by the National Association of Critical Care Nurses in conjunction with CNSI.

Theresa Murray Scholarship » Donate Online

The Theresa Murray Clinical Nurse Specialist Scholarship for Quality & Safety, Clinical Excellence, and Professional Development is named after one of NACNS’s founding members and a Past President who was an influential and beloved part of the nursing community. The Theresa Murray CNS Scholarship will award up to $2,000 to students enrolled in an entry level CNS program or CNSs enrolled in doctoral or post-master’s certificate programs for academic program or NACNS Annual Conference expenses.

CNSI Travel Grant Donation » Donate Online

CNSI travel grants provide funding for NACNS members who present a podium or poster presentation that helps to advocate and showcase the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role and highlights outcomes at conferences whose audience is primarily nurse leaders. Travel grants will include up to $750 to NACNS members that have presented a podium or poster presentation at local, regional, or national conferences within the previous 6 months.

NACNS Center for Implementation Science » Donate Online

NACNS established a partnership with the Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare (referred to as Fuld EBP Institute) at The Ohio State University (OSU). The purpose of the Center is to increase NACNS members’ expertise in and leadership for implementation science. The Center is positioning CNSs as the leaders in implementation of science for nursing and clinical care within healthcare systems.
